Take-Up Reels

Take-up Reels are as important to the tape and reel process as the carrier and cover tape. V-TEK stocks take-up reels from multiple manufacturers. Stock widths are 8-56 mm and stock diameters are 7″ and 13″. Larger widths and diameters are available.

3 Piece Assembly

Hub based take-up reels use a center hub that is pre-sized to the carrier tape width. Outside flanges are then added to the hub to complete the take-up reel assembly.

2 Piece Assembly

Non-hub based tape-up reels utilize two flanges of alternating thickness. For example, to assemble a 12 mm take-up, the operator would need to combine an 8 mm flange with a 4 mm flange.
